The first time I held a professional camera I guess I would have been around 7 years old. It was my father’s Leica 35mm film camera that he use alongside his beloved Rolleiflex. Sadly, I never got to own either of those cameras, only his light meter.
I was never really that interested in photography in my early years, although I did learn how to develop film in a darkroom. It wasn’t until 2008 that I purchased my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D90, if my memory serves me correctly, which the shutter died on whilst on holiday in Thailand, after several years and 1000’s of clicks, and I have stayed with Nikon ever since. It was a lesson learnt, when only having one chance to record an image, always have a backup plan!
My interest in photography has grown and in the early days, the image I recorded was it, as I did not have editing software. With the advance of computers free editing software became available and then purchasing dedicated editing software was the only way forward. Having taken literally thousands of images of properties, due to my job as an estate agent, recording other images at fiestas, concerts, and private functions became a breath of fresh air and is something that I intend to persue more.
Through this year I will begin to upload images of events that I attend and you will be able to purchase those images here at paulfullard.com
